Dalzell & Clydebridge are part of the Tata Steel Long Products Business. At Dalzell and Clydebridge, the Company has plate rolling and heat treatment facilities, which include quenching and tempering.

The team – around 270 people – strives to be a flexible business that delivers reliability to its customers. The main markets that customers operate in include shipbuilding, construction, mining and energy, including offshore.

Quench and tempered plate is used in applications where strength and toughness are needed. Thick, normalised plate can also be provided, all to tight gauges and flatness tolerances.

With the Tata Steel Apprenticeship Scheme you really do get the best of both worlds. You’ll learn all about the manufacturing and engineering industry and discover the many career paths you can follow.

Our Engineering apprenticeship scheme will provide you with broad-ranging skills and experience to increase your employability.  A lot of people who have completed apprenticeships at Dalzell and Clydebridge have enjoyed rapid career progression within Tata Steel.

Your paid apprenticeship at Dalzell or Clydebridge will include time at college and a training programme that guarantees variety and hands-on work.  You can choose an apprenticeship in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
