York is part of the Tata Steel Projects business that delivers high quality, innovative and responsive solutions to meet our client’s individual requirements. A multi-disciplinary solutions business, we provide a full range of services, from consultancy, design and engineering through to manufacture, installation and onsite project management.
Our expertise is drawn from the specialist skills of our people. We have over 600 employees, operating out of seven sites. The Tata Steel Projects team includes engineers, architects, planners, project managers and project engineers with high levels of expertise in all aspects of railway design and engineering, blast, civil and structural engineering, and mechanical and electrical engineering disciplines. In addition the teams at our manufacturing sites have many years' experience of engineering, manufacturing and fabrication that guarantee we will deliver exacting standards of quality and excellent levels of service.
Tata Steel projects, York offer paid four year apprenticeships in a choice of civil or electrical design engineering. Our apprentices go on to become very valued members of the company and can progress quickly if they are committed and dedicated to their work. We have apprentices who are now at Engineer level.
