We recognise that the UK metals industry faces challenges. However, we also believe that, with a clear vision and strategic approach in place, and the right support from the UK Government, we can adapt to international change and access key overseas markets. For many years, the UK was a world leader in the metals sector. Our goal is to help to re-establish that skills base, reinvigorate our product offering and reignite industry growth.
Tata Steel is determined to play a leading role in shaping and developing a strong, competitive and sustainable UK Metals industry for the future. We therefore support the new strategic approach, ‘Vision 2030’, outlined by the Metals Forum.
