    Hot Rolled Strip Steel

    The XPF-steel family is a major breakthrough in automotive structural material technology for chassis applications. XPF’s superior product characteristics offer much higher stretch-flangeability and tensile elongation compared with steel grades of equivalent strength. This enhanced formability supports freedom in design increasing the light weighting potential of that part. Also, XFP-steels can help to improve productivity and increase press shop yields. 

    Our newest hot-rolled steel of the XPF-family is HR XPF800-UC.

    Higher stretch-flangeability

    HR XPF800-UC is a formable high strength steel (800MPa) that combines excellent stretch flangeability with high elongation.

    The superior formability also enables light weighting of complex vehicle components, while achieving the same fatigue performance as standard equivalent complex phase steels and high-strength low-alloy steels (HSLA).

    Overview

    Hot-rolled XPF800-UC compared with standard equivalent complex phase steels, single phase HR XPF800-UC combines increased levels of stretch flangeability (average HEC value of 90%) and tensile elongation (minimum A50 of 16%, minimum A80 of 14%). This ensures superior formability without loss in fatigue performance – delivering increased design freedom for chassis lightweighting and part consolidation.
