    This allows for weight reduction of and design freedom for different types of structural reinforcements and crash components.

    • HyperForm - superior formability

      With higher elongation levels than their standard equivalents, HyperForm grades offer superior formability.

      This delivers improved press shop efficiency and allows lightweighting of complex, structural components and robust processing of stylish outer panels.

    • CR DP1000HY-GI: high strength, good formability

      The high initial yield strength of DP1000HY-GI combined with its good stretch, bending and edge formability, enables cold forming of relatively complex components produced by light deep drawing and/or roll forming.

    Body-in-white design demands affordability and improved crash performance, combined with low weight. Our advanced high-strength steels (AHSS) and ultra high-strength steels (UHSS) help meet those demands and provide good formability.

    Tata Steel supports customers in finding the optimum balance between cost, lightweight design potential and performance for specific applications. Total cost of ownership (TCO) concept studies identify and quantify the TCO reduction potential offered by Tata Steel’s advanced steel solutions like HyperForm® for specific automotive applications.
