Signalling is one of the key activities undertaken by Tata Steel Projects. Our team of designers and engineers produce total signal engineering solutions. Working with experts in a range of signal engineering related issues, the designers can provide designs for both new signalling systems and for enhancements to existing structure, in line with the stringent safety standards of the rail industry.
Kings Cross Redevelopment
Tata Steel Projects was commissioned to provide detailed design for Kings Cross station refurbishment, which included the shortening of platforms 5 to 8.
Micklefield Parkway Station
Tata Steel Projects was commissioned by Network Rail to undertake the GRIP 2 and 3 contracts, for a pre-feasibility study and option selection process for a new station at Micklefield Parkway Park and Ride facility.
Sheffield S&C
Tata Steel Projects was commissioned to undertake the detailed design of 13 point ends at Sheffield Station. This work included the S&C, points heating and signalling design.
Woolley Coal Sidings
Tata Steel Projects was commissioned by Network Rail to undertake a GRIP 3 study into increasing the signalling capacity on the line between Barnsley and Horbury Junction.
