Tata Steel produces hot rolled narrow strip up to 500mm wide, in a variety of grades. The range of steels are made to meet International standards, each one unique in its metallurgy and application.

Alloy steels
An extensive range of alloyed steels are available in hot rolled strip. The use of alloying additions is often specific to the intended application and service conditions.
Free-cutting steels
Free-cutting steels are ideal where high degrees of machining are required as they increase machining speeds and reduce tool wear.
Hire rolling and processing
We have extensive experience in hire rolling a vast array of different types of ferrous and non-ferrous alloy, special metal and stainless steel grades.
Boron steels
Medium carbon steels with the addition of boron to give the hardenability equivalent to higher carbon and low alloy steels.
Medium to high carbon steels
Medium carbon steels may be used for some applications in the "as rolled" condition.
