REACH
REACH is a new European Union regulation concerning the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and restriction of Chemicals.
It came into force on 1st June 2007 and replaces a number of European Directives and Regulations with a single system.It is one of the largest and most ambitious regulatory regimes that European industries have seen.
REACH will affect many thousands of substances up and down the supply chain and place obligations on suppliers, manufacturers and downstream users to provide information on the substances they supply and use.
We have recognised our commitment to REACH and have been working with other European steel companies to create one industry position to comply with the regulation.

Customers
We endeavour to provide the correct information to all of our customers. Customers can help by providing detail of uses and exposures to the substances we sell to them.
Suppliers
We are working with pour suppliers to maintain the flow of information up and down the supply chain and will provide all required information to allow our suppliers to comply.

We encourage our suppliers and customers to make contact if they have any queries on REACH. We have provided a dedicated helpdesk to provide professional support.
Guidance
There are many national and professional bodies who provide guidance on REACH including ECHA.
