Process Control and Automation Engineers
As a Process Control & Automation (PC&A) Engineer, you will use your knowledge of application computers, software, control and instrumentation technology to maintain our plants’ optimum performance.
It is mission-critical work, ensuring that operational standards remain consistently high, that downtime is minimised and that efficiency is maximised.
You will provide expert support, analysing performance, specifying improvements, adjusting control systems and ensuring compliance. You’ll also play a key role in investigative issues and generating solutions in order for the business to achieve key goals and targets.

Typical projects involve design, procurement, installation and commissioning, ensuring the application of the most up to date technological concepts at each stage.
You will be required to plan, sequence and organise all operations associated with capital projects with regards to timing, storage and agreeing plant down times with management.

These roles offer the opportunity to play a key part in Identifying, recommending and implementing improvements to plant. Your contribution will help to optimise product volume and yields, maximise unit safety and reliability and minimise operating costs.
You’ll offer prompt and well-informed technical advice, identifying solutions to plant performance problems, and supporting process trials. You’ll also develop and implement changes to equipment, procedures and processes. This will include the design of improvement projects, and playing a lead part in the design, procurement, installation and commissioning of new equipment. You’ll lead Hazard Operability Studies (HAZOP) and other structured risk assessments, develop safe work procedures, and provide specialist training to manufacturing personnel.
