The specified values for wide strip do not apply to the uncropped ends of the coil (‘head’ and ‘tail’). The length of these uncropped ends is calculated using the following formula:

length (in metres) = 90/nominal thickness (in mm), with a maximum of 20 metres.

If required, this part of the coil can be removed, however an additional cost may be charged for this.

Tolerances  in mm for wide strip and slit wide strip
The tolerances for wide strip and slit wide strip comply with standard EN 10051:2010.

Edge camber

The deviation from the edge over a length of 5000mm:

• with mill edges, no more than 20mm
• with trimmed edges, no more than 15mm

Flatness

Requirements as regards flatness can be agreed at the time of enquiry.

Overview

HR XPF800-UC

Its single phase ferrite matrix with nanoparticipation results in a robust high-strength steel with increased levels of elongation and stretch flangeability  HR-XPF800-UC  outperforms HSLA’s and multiphase products of equivalent strength levels, due to its outstanding hole expansion capacity (HEC), averaging 90%, and a far superior minimum elongation of 14%.These characteristics are important when looking for further lightweighting potential or increased energy absorption.  HR-XPF-800-UC  can be found in Chassis, Structural Body & White and seating applications. Please visit our XPF- key product page for more information.

Relationship with standards

Tata Steel can supply the following hot-rolled advanced and ultra high-strength steel grades:

Tata Steel VDA prEN 10338:2009 EN 10083-3:2006
HR FB590-UC HR440Y580T-FB HDT580F -

Applications

  • upper and lower control arms
  • engine sub-frames
  • other chassis and suspension components
  • twist beam rear axles
  • wheels

Strength and ductility

Utilising the superior combination of strength and ductility of Tata Steel’s advanced steel portfolio can yield significant lightweighting potential. Component shapes which were previously considered too challenging to make, are now a possibility. This enables designers to integrate high strength and durable materials into their designs to fully unlock the potential of steel.

Increased performance

Application of our advanced steel grades – in place of lower strength, conventional steel grades - can lead to the increased performance of finished components.

Weight reduction

Application of our advanced steel with a lower thickness - in comparison with lower strength, conventional steel grades - can help reduce component weight without compromising performance. This can increase your output per tonne of steel.

Product choice

Our hot-rolled advanced and ultra high-strength steels include ferrite-bainite, complex phase and hot forming steel grades.

Edge camber

The deviation from the edge over a length of 5000mm:

• with mill edges, no more than 20mm
• with trimmed edges, no more than 15mm

Flatness

Requirements as regards flatness can be agreed at the time of enquiry.

EN-Automotive-Product-Hot-Rolled-AHSS UHSS- XPF1000-UC OverviewTSN

Overview

HR XPF1000-UC

HR XPF1000-UC outperforms advanced multiphase products of equivalent strength, due to its outstanding hole expansion capacity (HEC) and superior elongation based on its single phase ferrite matrix with nanoparticipation. Enabling further lightweighting , increased production performance or increased energy absorption. Please visit our XPF- key product page for more information.

Relationship with standards

Tata Steel can supply the following hot-rolled advanced and ultra high-strength steel grades:

Tata Steel VDA prEN 10338:2009 EN 10083-3:2006
HR FB590-UC HR440Y580T-FB HDT580F -
HR XPF800-UC - - -
HR XPF1000-UC - - -
HR CP800-UC HR660Y760T-CP HDT760C -
1. This grade is also widely known as 22MnB5.

Tolerances  in mm for wide strip and slit wide strip
The tolerances for wide strip and slit wide strip comply with standard EN 10051:2010.

Edge camber

The deviation from the edge over a length of 5000mm:

• with mill edges, no more than 20mm
• with trimmed edges, no more than 15mm

Flatness

Requirements as regards flatness can be agreed at the time of enquiry.

Specification details for HR CP800-UC

EN-Automotive-Product-Hot-Rolled-AHSS UHSS-HR CP800-UC OverviewTSN

Overview

Complex phase – HR CP800-UC

HR CP800-UC is a complex phase advanced high-strength steel featuring a very fine-grained bainitic matrix microstructure combined with a small fraction of ferrite and martensite phases. This microstructure results in a strength of at least 760 MPa combined with an optimal balance between hole expansion capacity (HEC) and material elongation. The balance enables the design of relatively complex-shaped components requiring high strength and fatigue performance to be manufactured by cold stamping or roll forming.

Relationship with standards

Tata Steel can supply the following hot-rolled advanced and ultra high-strength steel grades:

Tata Steel VDA prEN 10338:2009 EN 10083-3:2006
HR FB590-UC HR440Y580T-FB HDT580F -
HR XPF800-UC - - -
HR XPF1000-UC - - -
HR CP800-UC HR660Y760T-CP HDT760C -
1. This grade is also widely known as 22MnB5.

Tolerances  in mm for wide strip and slit wide strip
The tolerances for wide strip and slit wide strip comply with standard EN 10051:2010.

Edge camber

The deviation from the edge over a length of 5000mm:

• with mill edges, no more than 20mm
• with trimmed edges, no more than 15mm

Flatness

Requirements as regards flatness can be agreed at the time of enquiry.

Option for maximum crown values

The following high crown C40 options available for hot-rolled products.

Crown values on the C20-position as well as minimum crown values on both C20 and C40 position are also available on request.
