Packaging Recycling School Workshop

At Tata Steel we proactively supports learning and education with programmes that have benefited thousands of children and teenagers in the UK and Netherlands.

 

 

In Wales more than 2,600 schoolchildren benefit from Tata Steel’s education and learning initiatives every year. A further 1,600 youngsters from Neath and Port Talbot attend the Crucial Crew interactive learning day supported by Tata Steel and a range of other agencies.

In South Yorkshire, Tata Steel has partnered with the Titans Community Foundation, the community arm of Rotherham Rugby Club.The two organisations come together to deliver an annual event which uses sport as a way of exciting around 200 young people about maths and science.

In the Netherlands Tata Steel has been proactive in the promotion of safety awareness in primary schools as well as supporting a range of other educational initiatives ​with a focus on technology and smart maintenance. The company’s PET IJmond project gives youngsters from 40 local schools the opportunity to increase their technology skills by working with experts from the business. ​

Tata Steel Netherlands is also is also partner of Techport, a network of more than 60 schools, companies and regional governments that participate to build on the future of the manufacturing industry to become smart and sustainable by educational programmes for all ages.
