EN-Construction-Product-Off road barriers | Product range

Product range

Our off road barrier systems are defined around a range of standard components that provide a cost-effective solution for the majority of applications. This also means that they can be supplied from stock in response to your project requirements. Typical components utilised include:

Corrugated Beam
Our corrugated beam is available in three standard lengths, and can also be supplied curved in both concave and convex form. The corrugated beam that forms the basis of the off road system, is sometimes generically referred to as Armco. This design has previously been used for several decades for on-highway applications, giving an indication of the level of protection it can provide.

Open Box Beam
An alternative design, sometimes chosen on basis of appearance, is the Open Box Beam. It is stiffer than a standard ‘Armco’ corrugated beam and so might also be chosen in areas where light impacts are anticipated more frequently such as car parks. A range of complementary components for the Open Box Beam are also available.

Posts
A selection of post are available to cover different installation and ground conditions. Post designs are either ‘Z’ profile for lighter systems or universal beam (RSJ) profile for heavier systems, and are supplied either to ‘cast-in’ to the ground or with a mounting plate for surface mounting to an existing surface by way of anchor bolts.

Corners
Both internal and external corners are available, in both 90 degree and 45/135 degree designs, that complement the corrugated beam profile and allow systems to flow around obstacles and pathways.

Ends / Terminals
A run of system is best completed by the addition of an end or terminal, either as a standard ‘fishtail’ or pedestrian ‘bullnose’ terminal. These fix directly to the end of the corrugated beam and provide a neat and effective ending to your barrier. These can be supplied from stock in galvanised finish or uncoated if necessary.

Accessories
A range of accessories can be provided to finish your system if required.

EN-Construction-Product-Off road barriers | Bespoke solutions

Bespoke solutions

The combination of our extensive experience, design capability and broad product offering allow us to develop bespoke solutions for specific customer projects. An example of this is the use of our barrier system to create a curved enclosure and noise barrier, to screen the scrap handling system at an automotive factory. As our barrier beams are roll formed, rather than pressed, we were able to amend the standard product specification and also accurately curve the beams. We supplied more than 70 individual beams, that when site-assembled created a robust and effective barrier to transport and noise. If you have a particularly challenging project, please contact us for further discussion.
