Tata Steel supporting older people in Mold

A Mold based older people’s charity has received a £750 donation from Tata Steel to help deliver several new projects in the county.

Age Cymru Mold will use the donation to enhance their information and advice service to provide a more open and accessible provision.

Shop Manager at Age Cymru Mold, Yvette Barrowclough says: “This kind and generous donation from Tata Steel will help Age Cymru to provide a range of services for older people in north east Wales. Last year, Age Cymru’s impartial and independent information and advice service helped put more than £10 million into the pockets of older people across Wales.

'With this donation, Tata Steel is helping us to continue with this important work so that we make a real difference to the lives of older people in north east Wales.”

Bill Duckworth, Site Manager for Tata Steel in Shotton adds: “We have a very proud tradition of supporting older people, many of whom have worked for Tata Steel in the past.

'We are thrilled to be able to support such innovative projects that help older people access advice and services to enable them to lead as active a life as possible.”

Age Cymru Mold is located at 28 High Street, Mold, CH7 1AZ and can be contacted on 01352 700 067.
